Born in Decatur and raised throughout the East, West, South, and North sides of Georgia, her life experiences shaped the versatile mindset and relentless hustle that now define her brand and artistry.
Behind the music and entrepreneurial ambition is a deeply personal story marked by both tragedy and transformation. In December 2002, while still in the fifth grade, Mookie lost her mother, a Miami, Florida native. The loss left a lasting emotional impact, especially without the closure she searched for over the years. More than two decades later, she located her mother’s unmarked grave in downtown Stone Mountain, Georgia — a moment she describes as life-changing. That discovery brought healing, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction that she believes unlocked the doors meant for her future.
Mookie credits much of her strength and independence to her father, an Atlanta native born at Grady Hospital, who taught her the importance of self-sufficiency and hard work. From construction and home renovation to learning the basics of auto mechanics, she was raised with the mindset that survival comes through knowledge and discipline. Recognizing the challenges of raising a young girl alone, her father entrusted much of her upbringing to her grandmother, whose love, guidance, and structure became a foundation for her character. In her grandmother’s home, Mookie learned responsibility, discipline, and the value of caring for a household with pride and consistency.
Her entrepreneurial drive was developed early through the influence of hustling family members who showed her how to create opportunities from nothing. Surrounded by relatives involved in everything from selling candy and food plates to clothing, taxes, perfume, and property ownership, Mookie was exposed to the realities of building income through creativity, determination, and community connections.
From childhood, she knew her destiny involved entertainment, business, and creative expression. Inspired by influential women such as Oprah Winfrey, Missy Elliott, Ciara, Aaliyah, Beyoncé, Monica, Mary J. Blige, and Eve, she developed a passion for dance, music, performance, and entrepreneurship. Outside of entertainment, she also carries a strong passion for sports, including basketball, football, tennis, softball, soccer, golf, boxing, and volleyball.
Although Mookie earned an Associate’s degree in Accounting, she ultimately realized her true purpose extended beyond traditional career paths. Guided by faith and grounded in spirituality, she believes that placing God first has opened doors and aligned her with people who restored hope and belief in her dreams. Inspired by scriptures such as Jeremiah 29:11 and Hebrews 11:1, she continues to approach life and business with purpose, vision, and gratitude.
