
Hollice Mapp, internationally acclaimed as Mr. Killa, is a multi- genre recording artiste, cultural ambassador, and philanthropist from Grenada whose artistry and advocacy have redefined Caribbean music on the global stage. A visionary performer, his groundbreaking contributions to Soca, Jab music, and cultural education have made him one of the most influential creative figures in the Caribbean and the African diaspora today.
Recognized for his electrifying stage presence and fearless innovation, Mr. Killa’s musical style fuses Soca, dancehall, EDM, afrobeat, and traditional Grenadian Jab Jab rhythms, embodying a sound both authentically Caribbean and universally resonant.
His performances, often described as spiritual experiences, bridge continents and cultures, celebrating identity, resilience, and freedom.
From Grenada to the World
Born and raised in Gouyave, St. John, Grenada, Mr. Killa began performing at age 10 and quickly emerged as a prodigious talent. At 15, he won Grenada’s first National Teen Talent Search Competition performing original compositions, and by 17, he claimed his first National Soca Monarch title with Thunder Rags.
Over the next decade, he dominated regional stages, earning multiple Soca Monarch and Road March titles while cultivating a devoted fanbase across the Caribbean.
His 2014 hit Rolly Polly catapulted him to international recognition, celebrating body positivity and Caribbean joy while establishing him as one of the Caribbean’s most dynamic performers. The viral success of Oil It (2018) and its global #oilitupchallenge further cemented his reputation as a cultural trendsetter, with dance crews from Korea to Chile embracing his music.
In 2019, Mr Killa made history as the first non-Trinidadian to win the International Soca Monarch title, a milestone performance that redefined regional boundaries in the art form and marked a new era for Grenadian music. His viral anthem Run Wid It, endorsed by icons like Drake and Usain Bolt, became a cultural movement, symbolizing unity, energy, and collective freedom.
Mr Killa’s unique talent for songwriting and production placed him as the voice and creator of the intro theme song of Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip and Real Housewives of Dubai. He also included placement of songs from many other Caribbean artist within the acclaimed series.
Advocacy & Creative Leadership
Beyond the stage, Mr. Killa’s mission is to uplift and empower through culture, community engagement and wellness. In 2019, he established a state-of-the-art recording studio, multimedia facility, and radio station in his hometown to nurture emerging creatives. This created the home for MK Songwriting Competition providing a platform for young Grenadians to showcase their craft.
Mr Killa created the HMF Foundation, a non-profit endeavor providing community support and opportunity to cultivate young talent in Grenada. Giving the youth a “fair chance at making their dreams come true.”
With the launch of Natural Healing Trees, a premium organic herb, spice and an herbal supplement brand, Mr Killa invested in empowering his fans and audience to take charge of their health and well being.
As the official Cultural Ambassador of Grenada, Mr. Killa uses his influence to strengthen ties between the Caribbean and Africa, advancing cultural diplomacy and artistic collaboration. His recent single Allota Money (featuring Wyclef Jean and KCee) and Jab Evolution pay homage to ancestral resilience and Pan- African identity, echoing his commitment to truth- telling through art.
